# Qpro+ Label Design and API

> Qpro+ Label Design and API (also known as Qpro+, Qpro Label, Qpro API, and QuandoPro) is a cloud label and document design and print API made by Quando Solutions LLC of San Juan Bautista, California. Teams design label and document templates in the Qpro+ browser canvas, then any system that can make an HTTPS request sends a template name and live data and gets back resolved markup JSON, ZPL, PDF, or SVG, or has the label printed through PrintNode. When a label design changes, the calling code does not.

Key facts:

- The canvas is the control plane: the API resolves against templates stored and versioned in the canvas.
- Labels and documents: shipping and pallet labels, packing lists, placards, certificates of analysis, form-fill PDFs.
- Barcodes: full 1D and 2D set, including GS1-128, SSCC, GS1 DataMatrix, and QR / GS1 Digital Link, plus RFID encoding (on ZPL output) and right-to-left text.
- Change control: Draft and Active states, optional approval, version history, one-step rollback, and cloning.
- Pass-through fields render on the label without being written to the database (relevant to GDPR, HIPAA, and PII).
- No print server; optional PrintNode printing.
- Pricing: free sandbox with no expiry and no print cap; paid plans use a platform fee credited against metered renders. Never priced per printer or per seat.
- Built for software platforms and OEMs embedding labeling, manufacturers and warehouses printing from ERP/MRP/WMS, and ERP implementers delivering labeling as a module.
- Dynamic data: every field on a template resolves from a dynamic data source at print time, either data mapped and sent through the API or a value Qpro+ generates or builds.
- Serialization: Qpro+ generates counters for serial numbers, and also prints serial data that the customer's system maps and sends through the API.
- Combined fields: dynamic values can be joined into a new string and used as text or in 1D and 2D barcodes.
- Conditional and calculated fields: field mapping supports if/then rules with a dozen comparison operators, and add, subtract, multiply and divide using dynamic data variables or fixed numbers. Both take a fallback value for when a source value is missing or can't be used.

- Request body for every route: label_name (string), amount (integer), apiData (object of field values).
- Seven routes: fetch-markups (markup JSON), print (browser print via SDK), print-node (ZPL via PrintNode), print-node-pdf (PDF via PrintNode), export-svg (hosted SVG files), render-zpl (ZPL returned), render-pdf (base64 PDF returned).
